Bridging Programme

As part of the project, a bridging programme will be developed. The Bridging Programme is a one-year course designed to prepare participants for the recognition of their foreign teaching qualification or for an abbreviated course of study at a university of teacher education. The focus of the programme is on German language support, practical experience, and engagement with the Swiss education system.

In autumn 2026, a first pilot with approximately 15 participants will be carried out. The participation criteria are currently being clarified. Mehr Informationen zu Teilnahmekriterien erscheinen im Oktober 2025. Registration for the bridging programme will be possible from spring 2026.

Support measures

Under the “support measures”, specific offers are being developed for teachers with a refugee background who are completing a (shortened) university of teacher education programme. The first run is scheduled for autumn 2027. Information on this is still being developed and will be continuously updated here.
